for smart devs, and devices

I am delighted to announce that we finally launched our own written framework Smaati.
Smaati is a compact HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript based framework for building next generation kinda web apps for mobiles, tablets and desktops. The framework features various UI components(for mobiles), like navigation headers & footers, toolbars, search panels, buttons, lists, forms and. etc, and javascript libraries which makes easier DOM access , manipulations. Besides that, there are lot of in built utility functions available which reduces your tedious implementations.

Why did we do this?

The idea behind Smaati is to make web front-end development easy and rapid. Having seen many web developers and teams, we realized that "NOT EVERYBODY IS JAVASCRIPT EXPERT ", yet it plays a major role in web development.  There are many well proven frameworks are already available in market, but we aim to make it even simpler, speeder and smoother.

Who built it?

It is me and my friend Sadeesh Senthil build this together over 3 months time.
He has been a great support for this project, and contributed a lot. As a first release we are providing limited functionaries(still in alpha), we continue to enhance it, including documentation, tutorials examples and libraries.

Few highlights:

  • Native UI widgets (for mobile, tablet devices)
  • Multi-Scrollers
  • Data Binding
  • Drag-and-Drop API
  • Transition Effects
  • Built-in touch support

What do we support?

Currently we are support Chrome, Safari and Firefox for desktops.
For mobiles/tablets only webkit based browsers (Android, IOS & Blackberry). We are in progress to support or at least to provide a fall back functionality for other browsers too.

Well, It's hard to explain everything here, But I want you to go visit my smaati page and write me back. I value your comments.
